Friday is a long day for me because I work from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. I have about a half an hour between jobs from 5 - 6:30 and it's always a rush to see if I can get to my second job on time but I manage. I hate the rush but I love playing at The Manhattan in Lufkin ,Texas. It's a family owned Italian resturaunt with the best food and the best crew. The family who runs it and wonderful people. Destin and Lesa greet you as you come in and always check during the meal to make sure you're satisfied with the meal. The atmosphere is low light with a candle at each table. There are 22 t5ypes of wine and a full bar and excellent waiters who carry your food to you on a large tray and are very attentive. It's also one evening a week I get to dress up and actually try to look my best. They often stop and tell me how much they enjoyed my music and I really like it. I could get my dinner for free but it's too hard to eat a whole meal on a 15 min break. One of these days I'm going to go and just eat on one of my off days. The food is the best!
Saturday I am scheduled to set up my annual once a year art show at the Lamp Light Theater and then I'll be running off to Ithaca , New York until the 12th of August when I'll be back just in time to break down the art show and take my work back home. After that, I'll try to slow down a little and take it easy. Ha! We'll see. I'm not good at slowing down. Too much to do that I haven't done yet.
