Cindy Grayson: News

Happy Valentines Day - February 14, 2019

Things are never as dependable as I'd like them to be. Depending on my voice for a majority of my income is like hanging on by the skin of my teeth. My Saturday evening gig at 7th Street in Cushing stopped for cold weather this winter and I asked them when they wanted to start up again. They got back to me and let me know that they were cutting me back to one Saturday evening a month and we're going to look into having several different acts on the other Saturday evenings as well as an open mic on Thursdays. I can't object because they need to make decisions that benifit their business and I am the first regular live act they've had so it's time for them to experiment with adding music to their schedule. On the other hand, it knocks a big chunk out of my monthly income. I'm having to re-evaluate my priorities and get a grip on dealing with advertising my CD sales when I play and spend more time straightening up and organizing my song lists.
Organizing my information seems to be an ongoing job for me. I envy those musicians who have a friend or a spouse who makes phone calls and take care of the business end of the business because it's me least favorite part. Now I've begun to except it, my wifi at home is fritz ing out on me and my computer keeps telling me it can't find my printer so even though I can design signs and adds, I can't print them out at home. I suppose I could send them to the HP Printing home office or go to the Staples site and make them there and order them so I could pick them up at the Staples in town. It's just frusterating and it would cost me more money which I don't have.
Anyway, this evening I'm playing for a Valentines Dinner at The Manhattan Restaurant in Lufkin, Tx and then again the next evening, Friday,at the same restaurant. Tonight is from 5:30 until 10:00 PM and tomorrow evening I play from 6:30 to 10:00 PM.
Saturday , I'm suppose to play back up for a young girl who is the granddaughter of a friend of mine who is dying of cancer. I've done it before at 7th Street but her mom called and asked if I would do it again and her other daughter is going to do a dance routine to it. I've also agreed that when her grandpa passes away , I will give her guitar lessons. I've had lots of requests to teach guitar and managed to sidestep each request because I've never taught before but I think I'm going to pick a day and start saying yes. I'm thinking $20 for a half hour lesson. I finger pick but all in patterned sequences. All of my theory is based on 6 years of classical piano lessons but I think I could do this. I just have to figure out the best day and since most of my requests are for young children, I'm wondering about school. Hmmmm! I'm working on this.
Well, Happy Valentines Day for all and I hope yours is the best ever.

Cindy Grayson

Hello 2019 - January 16, 2019

Greetings! Well, while the west coast is expecting more rain and stormy weather and the East coast is buried under snow and wind and more rain, we are relatively moist and cool. The rain isn't constant but never lets up long enough for anything to dry out. My poor jeep started costing me more than a comfortable amount.so my sister, the lawyer, decided to let me have an advance on my inheritance so I could have a dependable ride. I now have a Buick Enclave SUV and it has more than enough space for my PA equipment, drives like a boat and gets good gas mileage.
My gig at the 7th Street Restaurant on Saturday evenings in Cushing is on hold at the moment due to fact that it's just too cold and wet out on the patio where I play. This, of course takes a good sized bite out of my monthly salary but I plan on working on things around the house and property. I did no art last year and I neglected the property and yard but this year I plan on getting things done and getting more exercise. I want to get rid of some of this weight I've put on, expand my lung power and start creating some of these art projects I have had piling up in my head. I'm redoing my song list and my small flyers for tips and such. I also want to get a nice flyer with a decent picture of me. I want to get out and be more social. If I can find one or two more steady gigs, I can break even with my bills. I've added several songs to my list of performance songs and when I redid my song list this morning, it was up to 180 songs. I'm going to start practicing more of my original songs and mix more of them into my sets.
While things are being troubled in our country for the last couple of years, keep singing and " every little thing gonna be alright". Never bow to tyranny and sing loud!

Happy January!

Merry Christmas - December 11, 2018

Sitting here drinking chicken bouillon broth in my coffee cup with a wheezy chest, I know that even though I don't feel under the weather, my lungs do. It has a lot to do with this crazy Texas weather. Although we are luckier than a lot of folks to the east and west of us, the humidity here, as close to the coast as we are, plays havoc with the sinuses and lungs and I have to play this weekend. Last weekend the market and 7th Street gigs were cancelled and I can see it happening several more times this winter as both of those are outside. Probably won't have much of a Christmas this year but I did put my tree up for the first time in 3 years.
Things are really going ok but I'm hoping I can round up at least one more regular gig that is indoors so I can break even in paying bills. People don't seem to realize that the musician providing the music is working mostly for tips and if they enjoy what they're hearing , even a dollar helps pay for bills, gas and food so the musician can come back and play again. Saying how much you like it as you walk by and putting nothing in the jar, even just a dollar, is really more of an insult. This holiday season has been tight for a lot of us but even if 5 people put in 1 dollar, I can by some groceries. We don't get paid by the hour where we play and what we do get paid isn't much. Please be kind.
Ok, I'm going to go drink some more chicken broth and curl up for awhile so I can be my best on Friday.
Y'all have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday!

7th Street Bar and Grill - October 12, 2018

My new gig is doing well and so am I. Every Saturday evening from7:00 PM to 10:00 PM I play out on the patio and the 7th Street Back Porch Bar and Grill in Cushing , Texas and I'm really enjoying the atmosphere and people who work and live in and Around the little town of Cushing , Texas. Sometimes we even have people drive in from Tyler or Henderson or Nacogdoches. There are big industrial fans for when it's hot and I haven't played when it's been cold yet so I'm sure that will be another memorials experience. It's relaxed and low key, come as you are atmosphere is very relaxing and the food is cooked fresh in their kitchen. You can also get a drink with your meal. I usually drink wine but they haven't got a lot of that so I have been settling for a Bloody Mary which they make from scratch and no pre made mix. It's really good!

Sept. 2, 2018 - September 2, 2018

Here I am out on my west deck in the evening because it's just been too hot during the day and I do believe that I hear rain on the canopy of my gazebo . I know it rained earlier today but I have been trying to hide out in my house today. This weekend was a good weekend X pet that I did have to go in and play the Manhattan last Friday because my boss there thought it was going to be too slow. I played the market and then at my friend , Chris Grooms, birthday party only it was sort of another memorial birthday party since Chris up and died of liver cancer last March. The I ran to my moms and plugged my iPad in so it would be charged for that evening when I am now playing in Cushing Texas at the 7th Street Back Porch Bar and Grill. The little town of Cushings Lion Club put in a Labor Day parade and I tried hard to get there in time but first I forgot my amp at home, then I forgot my iPad plugged in at my Moms so I ran back and forth for about 20 minutes and then headed out toward Cushing. Luckily I made it there just before the parade started and got to video al,last the whole thing. It was so cool! I love small town parades. Everyone is so excited and the kids have such a blast. I played from 7:00 until 10:30 but I also had a young girl come up, maybe 11 or so, who was the granddaughter of a friend of mine who's fighting brain cancer, and she wrote a song that she had brought up once before so we did it again and this time her dad and grandpa got to really hear her sing it with me bad,ing her up on the guitar . It was great!
All in all its been a good weekend and tomorrow I'm going to look for a trailer I can use for road trips and take my sleep quarters with me and maybe my white shepherd. I would be fun! I could drive and play a.ong the way.
Y'all have a great Labor Day weekend and be safe , please!

July schedule - July 13, 2018

Friday 13 - the Manhattan Fine Dining Restaurant in Lufkin , Tx. From 6:30 to 10:00 PM
Saturday 14 - the Farmers Market in Nacogdoches from 9:30 to 12:00 noon.
Saturday 14 - The 7th Street Restaurant in Cushing Tx. , on the patio, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM

The 7th Street Restaurant has just started having regular music out on a big covered patio that the owner, Jerry Fears, has been building for the last couple of years or so. They have repurposed the brick from a wall between the restaurant and the building next door , cleaned each one and rest them down to make a nice floor with a drain in the middle like a big shower drain so it's easy to clean. I haven't tried everything on the me up yet but I do know that their fried catfish is some of the best I've had. It's nice to be a part of bring some live music to the small town of Cushing Texas and hopefully it will continue to grow and become a real happening spot in town. They people are friendly and the food is good down home cooking and now there will be music!

Blueberry Festival is here , - June 7, 2018

This Saturday is the Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches! If you can't be here you are missing out in one hell of a good time. The Fredonia Hotel, right off of downtown has been completely remodeled and is open . The downtown square will be closed off to allow all the vendors and musicians to set up and get to work. The local Farmers Market is having a wine tasting and display of local and near by wineries and I am the musical entertainment from 10:00 AM to about 2:00 or 3:00 PM. Then, unfortunately, I have to leave to allow me to visit with my Mom and make it to my new evening gig at the 7th Street Restaurant in Cushing TexAs about 25 miles north of Nacogdoches on 204. It's a nice , low key, down home restaurant with good people and good food. Check it all out!

June it's Blueberry Festival time - June 6, 2018

We're all gearing up for the annual Blueberry Festival here in Nacogdoches , Texas. We've got the heat and partly cloudy skies in the forecast and everyone downtown is getting their shops stocked up and organized for the festivities. This year the Farmers Market just west of downtown is getting in on the fun by hosting a wine tasting and musical entertainment afternoon . The music will be from 10:00 to 4:00 and, of course, given a choice of what time I would like to play, I chose 10:00 AM. There will also be a Blueberry Blues Music Jam at Millard's Crossing historical village on the North side of Nacogdoches which I had planned on taking part in but then remembered I have to work at my new job at the 7th Street Festaurant in Cushing on Saturday evenings so I guess I won't .
I heard today the someone is interested in Liberty Bell and they plan to have music more like mine. Woopy!
I hope everyone who can will come and join in the fun and merry making!
Blessed be!

May roller coaster - May 30, 2018

Well it's been a crazy last two months. I had two old friends who were also great musicians die within a few weeks of each other, DP Shulze and Chris Grooms and last week another newer friend and musician, Ellis ( I can't remember his last name) and it'll take me awhile to come to terms with this losses. At the same time, the Liberty Bell bar/restaurant where I've been playing on Sunday's closed. Now you know we musicians who aren't in the lime light of public fame have to work hard for every dime and don't get paid a lot so I proceeded to go into panic mode. A few weeks ago , while at a wake for DP, I met the owner of a restaurant in the small town of Cushing 25 minutes north of here who was looking for a steady entertainer and we settled on every Saturday evening from 6:30 to 10:00 pm. The establishment is called The 7th Street Restaurant and is owned by Jerry and Kim Fears. Last Saturday went well and everyone was very enthusiastic. He will pay me the same as Liberty Bell. You know we starving musicians need all the help we can get!

A busy April! - April 19, 2018

Hello. I hope everyone is having a great month. Watching the news and weather around our country, I'm am glad to be where I am. We have sunshine and , although the mornings are a little chilly, the days are in the 70's and a couple of 80's recently.
This weekend I will be at the Mnahattan in Lufkin, Texas for my usual Friday evening background music gig from 6:30 to 10:00 PM. The next gig is on Sunday at Liberty Bell in downtown Nacogdoches, Texas. As of this month, I will be there every Sunday for Acoustic Brunch from 12:00 to 2:00 PM ( unless I decide to play a little longer). This schedule will remain steady and I believe I have a steady schedule at the Local Farmers Market in Nacogdoches for the 2nd and 4th Saturday's of each month. The venders asked if I could play every Saturday but I explained that we needed to give other musicians a chance to come and entertain them. I can't hog all the fun.

Y'all have a wonderful day and enjoy the sun and flowers and all the green things growing ...if your in East Texas!

Happy April!

Another weekend over - February 18, 2018

It's been a long weekend but a good one. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day.. I don't have a special someone and I worked all week and weekend. No matter how tired I get, I remind myself that we must be thankful for that which we have and not lose ourselves in the regrets of that which we don't have. Make the best out of today and tomorrow will take care of itself.
Valentine's Day went well. I played for 4&1/2 hours and didn't get fed but I made almost $150 for the evening so I got to go buy my Mom a bromeliad but Valentine's Day and put gas in my car. I played Saturday evening at The Manhattan instead of Friday because I went to another party and today I played at Liberty Bell for Acoustic Brunch. The owner ran out on everything and moved to spring and her daughter and daughters boyfriend are running the bar/restaurant so how that's going to go is iffy but I won't bail on them as long as I get a paycheck. I have an interview coming up and the newly renovated Fredonia Hotel in town and that would help. We'll see how it goes.

Weekend Wine Swirl - February 7, 2018

Another busy weekend coming up. I'll be at the Manhattan Friday evening from 6:30 to 10:00 PM in Lufkin, Texas and I'm suppose to play at the Farmers Market in Nacogdoches Saturday morning but it's suppose to rain so we'll see how that goes. Saturday evening is the Wine Swirl in downtown Naocgdoches ,Tx. From 5:00 to 9:00 PM and I be playing in doors at The Heart Of Texas most of that time. Sunday is my one Sunday off from playing at The Liberty Bell for acoustic brunch from 12:00 to 2:00 PM but I'll be back there the next Sunday and the next two after that. It's Valentines Day coming up on the 14th and I'll be at the Manhattan that evening from 6:30 to 10:00 PM so get ready ! It'll be great!

Happy 2018 - February 3, 2018

Things are picking up and keeping me really busy. I wonder, sometimes, how people manage to keep up with several sites. Between this and the two music and art sites I keep up with , I don't make entries nearly as often as I should. Mostly I check in to FaceBook. There it's Wilderhill Studio , Arts and Creations, and my Cindy Grayson music.
We have new venues in our area and I need to go check into scaring up a couple more regular gigs . I'm still at The Manhattan in Lufkin every Friday evening from 6:30 to 10:00 PM but I have an added day on Valentine's Day which is in a Wednesday and I'll be playing 6:00 to 10:00 then. I'm still doing Acoustic Brunch from 12-2 at Liberty Bell in downtown Nacogdoches. That's on Sunday's and I do three and then one off but I'll be there this Sunday. The 11th is my off Sunday but I'll be there all other Sunday's .
I hope 2018 is treating you well and maybe people will stop trying to turn my guest book here into a link to their own websites. I thought I had it turned off but some creepy little people snuck back in.
Have a great day and I'll be back here soon.

Happy Thanksgiving - November 26, 2017

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Yesterday was the Wassail Fest in Nacogdoches and there was a wonderful turnout. The downtown sidewalks were full of smiling faces and all ages, walking and talking and trying all participating stores and tomorrow we'll find out who won the people's choice and the judges choice. Usually, I help out at the tourist gift gallery where I work two days a week but this time, my music had me playing at the market and then at the Heart of Texas Gift Gallery. I even sold three CDs. I had to be at my moms apartment for cocktails at 4:30 and I wanted to come back into town after and hear Kasey Landsdale talk and play a few songs at BossLight bookstore but mom injured herself again and I didn't get through there in time so I went home and ate some wonderful turkey soup a friend made for me. Excellent!

Novembers Humid News - November 3, 2017

Good morning! Well, here in Texas it is humid and promising to get more humid as the day goes by. My weekend schedule is :
Friday evening, Manhattan Restaurant in Lufkin from 6:30 to 10:00 PM
Saturday morning , Farmers Market, Nacogdoches from about 9:30 AM until 12:00
Sunday afternoon , Liberty Bell, Nacogdoches, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm

I had planned to have Saturday off but Ellis, who was scheduled to play, apparently broke his wrist. While I'm pleased to be able to take up the slack and make some extra money , I'm so sorry that Ellis hurt his wrist and I hope he has a speedy recovery and will be back with us playing soon.

Another weekend almost done - October 15, 2017

This music schedule keeps me hopping. I played a business lunch in Lufkin, Texas last Friday and then played at the Manhattan that night. The next. Or in I played at the Farmers Market in Nacogdoches and managed to get home, unpack my equipment, repack for Sunday Acoustic brunch at Liberty Bell in Nacogdoches and now, Sunday evening, all I have to plan for is playing at Magnolia Court Assisted Living facility at 11:00 tomorrow until noon. Then I'll go home and totally unpack the car so I can clean the inside real well and spray air freshener inside before I have to go to my Moms for cocktails. With any luck, I'll get most of the chores around the house done before I have to get ready for next weekend. I don't have to play the market next Saturday so maybe I can have a little " me" time.

October news - October 6, 2017

Good morning! It really a beautiful morning here in East Texas with possible highs of 85 but we've been promised cooler weather by next week.
October is going to be a busy month for me. Yesterday evening I went out to Camp Tonkawa, north of Nacogdoches , and ate dinner with a group of women called " Sisters On The Fly" who have all gathered there to camp out for the next several days. After dinner I got together with a few of the other women and we played songs and sang harmony for about an hour. It was fun!
Today, Oct. 6th, I'll go play my weekly even gig at The Manhattan in Lufkin , Tx. from 6:30 to 10:00 PM
Saturday is the Fall Fling at the Farmers Market in Nacogdoches. I have to be there at 7:30 AM so I can get my PA set up in the north end of the festival area and I'll play a set at 8:30. Normally, this would bother me but by playing that early, I won't get the full blast of sun and heat like the people who do their sets later.
Sunday I'll play from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Liberty Bell restaurant and music venue east of the square in downtown Nacogdoches.

Driving around town, I'm starting to see Halloween decorations in people's yards and some downtown.

Next Friday, I'm suppose to play background lunch music at The Pines Theater in Lufkin for a group of bankers and business people. I got a call from Barbara Thompson, who organizes stuff for downtown Lufkin, and she wanted to know if I had a form of some kind I needed to fill out before she could pay me. I don't know what form it is I need but I asked her if she would find one of the forms, I'd be glad to sign it. If she can't find one, I'll ask around here and try to find out what I need but since my name is already on the program, I'd be willing to play anyway and I'll still find that for and keep it in my files for future use. Good to know.
That will be Friday the 13th and I'll also be playing my evening gig at the Manhattan at 6:30 pm to 10:00 so I may just stay in Lufkin that day.
Saturday, 10/14/17 I'll be at the Farmers Market for my usual Market gig and I usually play 9:30 to 12:00 noon
Sunday 10/15/7 I'll play Liberty Bell in Nacogdoches for Acoustic Brunch from Noon to 2:00.
Monday 10/16/17 Magnolia Court Assisted Living 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

Friday 10/20/17 Manhattan Restaurant 6:30 to 10:00 PM

Friday 10/27/17 Manhattan Restuarant 6:30 to 10:00 PM
Saturday 10/28/17 Farmers Market 9:30 to 12:00 noon.
Sunday 10/29/17 Liberty Bell 12:00 to 2:00 PM for Acoustic Brunch.

Be safe and have a Happy All Hallows' Eve.

Septembers end - September 29, 2017

It's time for the last weekend in September 2017 and we have finally begun to feel the touch of fall in the air here in East Texas. I'll play at The Manhattan in Lufkin tonight from 6:30 to 10:00 pm again and I'll be playing at Liberty Bell in downtown Nacogdoches for Acoustic Brunch from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday. Sometime next week I'll post the playing dates for October which looks to be a really busy month full of music and cooler weather ( we'll see. Texas can be fickle) and preparing for the holidays, although I try to avoid any place that starts celebrating Christmas before Halloween!
I'll keep you posted!

Crazy September - September 22, 2017

Hi there! Thought I'd stop in and play a little catch up here. It's been crazy with all these storms hitting the US ( hello Climate Change is real!) and the fires in the western half of the US. It's time we all pulled together and learned to reach out to one another as a family, as all humans are, and do something, even a little something, to help on another today or tomorrow! I'm not a religious person but I know enough to know that even a hug and a little help with water and food and clothing or a place to sleep for someone who's lost everything or almost everything can go a long way. Don't do nothing because you can't do a lot. If we all do even a little bit, it becomes a lot.
We've been doing benefits and adding to the supplies from here in our little town of Nacogdoches, Texas and will continue to do so. Last Saturday I played the opening song ( which I wrote) for a storytelling time and an auction headed up by Tim Bryant and Joe Landsdale at the BossLight Bookstore here in Nacogdoches and so many things got donated that Tim continued the auction for about three more days. I haven't checked on how much was raised but it all went to the hurricane survivors and their needs.
This weekend I will be at the
Manhattan in Lufkin, Texas Friday evening from6:30 to 10:00 PM
The Nacogdoches Farmers Market. 9:00 to12:00 noon Saturday
Sunday I have off and plan on mowing and cleaning up around my place because the next three Sunday's will be at the Liberty Bell in downtown Nacogdoches from 12:00 to 2:00.
Y'all have a wonderful day and don't forget, we are our brothers keeper and so many need help at this time!
Peace and blessings to all,
Cindy Grayson

Busy weekend coming up - August 18, 2017

Today , after I finish my day job at The Heart of Texas gift gallery I'll be at the Manhattan again. I guess to show it easily I'll just list everything .
8/18/17 The Manhattan, Lufkin Tx. 6:30 - 10:00 pm
8/19/17 The Farmers Market Nacogdoches, Tx. 9:00am - 12:00 noon
8/19/17 The Main Pecan, Nacogdoches, Tx. 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
8/20/17 Liberty Bell, Nacogdoches, Tx. 12:00 noon - 2:00 PM
8/21/17 Magnolia Court, Nacogdoches, Tx. 11:00 am - 12:00 noon

I have reduced the moving and hauling stress of unloading and loading equipment by just loading it all in my car so I'll just take out what I need to when I get to each gig. I'm beginning to settle in to the running back and forth but does wear me down. I have decided to try to not always run our and back to my house every time I get through. I need to stop and get to know the people I play for. For someone who enjoys the quiet peacefulness of my own company, socializing is very draining for me but I'm trying to stay out longer and longer as long as it doesn't cost me any money. As it is, I'm just barely making ends meet which would be better if I had one more steady gig or two. I can't really travel as I have to be here for my Moms cocktails every day but I've checked into a couple of places newly opened in town and I've got my fingers crossed. Our Fredonia Hotel near downtown in Nacogdoches has just been newly remodeled and is beautiful. They also have a small bar and a nice patio where they use to have " Music On The Patio" so I'm hoping that's a possibility - out under the trees in the evening. It would be nice.

Another music filled weekend - July 14, 2017

Sitting at my day job trying to catch up with my financial books, wait on tourists, serve a few ice cream cones, eat some lunch and think about practicing some here at the gift shop before I close at 5:00 and head for Lufkin to play 6:30 to 10:00 pm at the Manhattan Restaurant, I notice that if I stop too long, I start to get sleepy. Time to get up and move again. I'm just glad I'm not outside where it's muggy and hot.
Looking forward to playing but still haven't managed to tackle the question of how to gracefully get customers to realize that it's respectful to at least put a dollar in the tip jar. It doesn't have to be a lot but the musician and waitstaff aren't getting near what all those at other jobs who have set salaries.
Well, I might as well brush up on a few songs before this evening.

Music Festival in Blanco, Texas - July 4, 2017

I had a wonderful time at the music festival in Blanco for three days! I camped out in my tent, I ate great food, sat out on a wonderful patio with a fabulous water feature that has just been completed ( and got my creative mind working) and met and played with several great musicians , played music and had a wonderful time. I haven't done much in the way of road trips to play and , I have to admit, I have chickened out several times and I'm so glad I didn't chicken out this time.
I never planned on making a living playing my music and I still don't play mine much but I'm making enough playing cover tunes to pay my bills so I can't complain. I sat among people I didn't know, in a place I'd never been to before and I ate, drank and joined in a wonderful evening and next day of music and song. I got to talk to people who knew more and I learned some more about my chosen present profession and enjoyed every single minute. I will go back again! It was great!
I took several longs walks down a white sand and gravel road. I saw a gray fox, a family of deer and lots of chimney swifts, lots of delightful wind and sunshine our in the hill country and cedar. I will not say no again! It was great!

Blueberry weekend - June 11, 2017

Another busy weekend. It was the blueberry Festival in downtown Nacogdoches this last weekend. I worked at the Manhattan in Lufkin Fiday evening while they were having a blues concert in festival park just south of downtown Nacogdoches and Saturday, I was playing from 11oo to 2:00 at the Farmers market and today I played at Liberty Bell from12:00 to 2:30 and I am finally through the weekend.
Next weekend is the Manhattan on Ftiday evening from 6:30 to 10:00 pm , the farmers Market from 9:00 to 12:00 and Linerty bell from 12:00 to 2:30 on Sunday. Another busy weekend. Come and join me for the fun.

Last night went great - June 3, 2017

It wasn't a real busy night but it was a good night. I played several of my own original songs and got a good response . I got good tips and several people made a point of stopping and saying how much they liked the music. Thumbs up for me.

Friday evening at the Manhattan - June 2, 2017

Preparing for another evening at the Manhattan Fine Dining Restaurant. I'm going to start adding more of my own songs to the evening list and try to remember the chord progressions. I put new strings on my guitar yesterday so I'll need stretch them out a little more before this evening. It is a cloudy day here in east Texas and I truly think I'm solar powered because I'm still in a mental fog and it's almost noon here at my day job at the Heart Of Texas Gift Gallery. It's suppose to get up to the mid 80's today and possibly rain so it will feel like something resembling a sauna outside today. I'm so glad I don't do landscaping maintenance any more ( except for my own place) because Texas is a hot humid place to live. The fact that it's so green and so many flowers are blooming makes it tolerable.

Have a great day!
